About Me
Welcome. I am licensed clinical social worker and former NYC attorney. My approach integrates empathy, active listening, and collaborative goal-setting to support clients in their journey towards emotional well-being and fulfillment. My goal is to provide a confidential, safe, and judgement free space for you to explore your true self and your own wants, needs, and desires.
My experience as a NYC big law attorney, allows me to understand the unique demands faced by lawyers and many high-level professionals, including perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and difficulty achieving a work-life balance. I also worked at a university student counseling center for years, and have extensive experience with the challenges young adults, undergraduate, and graduate students face.
As a psychodynamic and psychoanalytically trained therapist, I believe that our early relationships impact how we relate in the world as adults. Accordingly, the relationship with the therapist can be transformative in how we relate to others and our own thoughts and feelings. I will integrate other modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, when helpful and appropriate.
I am here to support and guide you to help you better understand your emotions, patterns, and unconscious memories and desires, to empower you to live a more satisfying life.

“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and come forth later in uglier ways.”
Sigmund Freud
You’re not alone. Whether it’s an inner critic telling you “you can’t,” or just plain overwhelm about where to start, it’s hard to take action when you don’t have a clear path forward.
This is where therapy comes in. Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talk therapy that helps you understand how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns shape the way you think, feel, and relate to others today. By becoming more aware of these patterns, you can break free from cycles that no longer serve you, improve your relationships, and develop a stronger sense of self.
In sessions, we explore both what’s happening in your life now and how it may connect to earlier experiences. This process can lead to deep, lasting changes—not just quick fixes—by addressing the root causes of difficulties rather than only the symptoms.
